Sports Department Holds 1st Intermediate Intramural Badminton Championship

The 1st FCCU Intermediate Intramural Badminton Championship was organized by the Sports Department, October 24 to 30, 2019. This was part of an initiative by Vice Rector (I), Dr Ivan Suneel Samuel to provide separate opportunities in sports to college students. More than 70 students participated in the tournament representing teams of various disciplines from college section at FCCU. The Badminton Championship included some very competitive and entertaining games which were witnessed by a large number of spectators comprising of both students and faculty, who enjoyed the competitions and supported their teams fervently. The teams were led by Sports Advisors from amongst the Faculty and Hostel wardens.

The 1st semi final of the tournament was played between Griswold Hall Team and Kennedy Hall Team and was won by Griswold Hall.

The 2nd semi final was played between Medical Juniors Team and Business Juniors Team and was won by Business Juniors.

The Final, at which the Chief Proctor (I), Mr Asif Shami was the Chief Guest, was won by Griswold Hall and Business Juniors were declared runners up.
