The visit, arranged by the Forman Tycoon’s Club—a student-led initiative of the Commerce Department at Forman Christian College (A Chartered University)—aimed to provide students with practical exposure to the operations of a professional business institution and to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world business practices. Upon arrival, the students were warmly received by the Chamber’s management and escorted to the main conference hall. There, representatives briefed them on the Chamber’s organizational structure, objectives, and its vital role in promoting trade, supporting entrepreneurs, and fostering industrial growth in Pakistan. This was followed by an interactive question-and-answer session, during which students asked thoughtful questions on trade policies, taxation, and youth entrepreneurship. The representatives appreciated their enthusiasm and responded with detailed insights.
Later, the President, Senior Vice President, and other distinguished officials of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce joined the session. The President delivered an inspiring address, highlighting the importance of innovation, leadership, and the active participation of youth in Pakistan’s economic development. The Senior Vice President also shared his professional journey, encouraging students to contribute creatively and responsibly to the growth of the business sector. At the close of the session, faculty members from the Commerce department presented souvenirs and tokens of appreciation to the Chamber’s officials in gratitude for their hospitality and valuable engagement. The Chamber further extended a warm welcome by serving refreshments, creating a relaxed environment for informal discussions between students, faculty, and Chamber representatives.
Following the session, students were given a guided tour of key departments, including Trade Development, Research, and Member Services. They observed how these divisions function to support both local and international business activities. The visit proved to be highly educational and inspiring, offering students a deeper understanding of Pakistan’s business landscape and motivating them to pursue their future careers with renewed vision and confidence.
