Dept of Physics Organizes a Series of Capacity Building and Brainstorming Sessions

Department of Physics organized a series of capacity building and brainstorming sessions at the start of the session 2021-22. The various sessions and discussions that took place were as follows:

 

Day 1 August 30, 2021, Monday

09:30 AM to 11:30 AM

Discussion and Brainstorming on Preferred Teaching Methodologies to achieve desired results, acting as a sequel to the ideas presented at the College Orientation, 2021. The faculty and staff at the Physics Department presented their view points and a general consensus was reached. The day ended with the HOD and senior faculty sharing their insight and stressing upon the importance of understanding BISE examination system.
Day 2 August 31, 2021, Tuesday

09:30 AM to 11:30 AM

Discussion on online class scheduling, monthly tests and quizzes, and practical classes

Official instructions were also conveyed.

Day 3 September 01, 2021, Wednesday

09:30 AM to 11:30 AM

Session on Microsoft Excel and other applications of Microsoft Office by HOD, Mr. M Iqbal

The session was intended upon building the capacity of the faculty and staff of the department to store student data efficiently. A lot was learned during the practical demonstration of various features of these applications.

Day 4 September 02, 2021, Thursday

09:30 AM to 11:30 AM

Session on BISE Examination Marking Scheme and Paper Pattern by Mr. M. Ifitkhar Hussain, Mr. Shoukat Masih and Mr. Arif Allah Rakha

The resource persons shared their experience with the faculty and staff as they have been marking BISE Examination papers for the past many years and will be marking papers this year too.

 

Day 5 September 03, 2021, Friday

Session on Google Meet and Moodle (LMS) by Mr. Raheel S. Farhat and Mr. M. Ifitkhar Hussain

This session was regarding various features of Google Meet and Moodle to refresh the basics of these softwares with the faculty and staff.

Day 6 September 06, 2021, Monday

09:30 AM to 11:30 AM

Syllabus Breakdown Discussion moderated by Mr. Tanvir Ahmad

The Syllabus Breakdown for second year classes was discussed and feedback was taken from the faculty. A well-thought-out plan to complete the syllabus was agreed upon.

Day 7 September 07, 2021, Tuesday

09:30 AM to 11:30 AM

Session Work Ethics, Punctuality and Service by HOD, Mr. Muhammad Iqbal

The Head of the Department stressed upon the need to be more diligent, proactive, and forthcoming. He also shared the standards of service expected at FCC and the various ways in which faculty and staff can benefit the Forman Community, especially the students. It was communicated that there will be no compromise on punctuality throughout the session.
