Freud Club participated in a Peer Respect Campaign to foster a welcoming, respectful and safe learning environment for all students. The campaign highlighted the importance of embracing the FCC core values of kindness, respect and dignity which form the foundation of college vibrant community.
2nd year students from Humanities group were specially addressed on their responsibility to welcome their juniors; 1st year students in a friendly and supportive manner. Through interactive talks by the Club team and awareness materials in the classrooms, they were reminded that disrespecting others and fooling around are unacceptable behaviors that harm both individuals and the learning atmosphere. Instead, students were encouraged to act as mentors, supporters showing empathy and guidance to help their juniors to adjust with confidence.
A significant feature of the campaign was the Pledge Activity, where students signed a large banner as a public commitment to treat their juniors with respect and to uphold the values of the college. This symbolic act reinforced the message of accountability and shared responsibility in creating a culture of unity, dignity and trust. The campaign concluded with a strong message: ‘BE A BUDDY, NOT A BULLY’ to promote culture of respect.
The activity was well-received and successfully reaffirmed the college’s dedication to kindness, dignity and respect for all students.
