IGO organizes a walk on International Self-Harm Day

The Intermediate Guidance Office (IGO) organized a walk on the International Self-Harm Day, 01 March 2017 which started from the Intermediate Library and ended at the Ewing Library. The walk started with the Intermediate Student Counselor, Mr Arooj Justin saying a few words regarding the importance of the day. It was attended by a large number of faculty and students and was aimed at creating awareness among students about self-harm and self-injury as awareness leads to understanding and empathy, banishing judgment and fear, and reducing the number of people who feel alone and suffer in silence. The participants also vowed to educate other people to not self-injure and reach out to people who do. The Intermediate Student Counselor also informed about his availability for students having issues like these.
