Mr. Ghulam Murtaza is currently serving at Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), in the Department of Physics located in the Susheela building in Lahore since 2021. Additionally, he holds positions as a proctor and advisor. With over 11 years of experience, he is a competent professional in teaching, mentoring, and counseling across various prestigious institutes in Pakistan. Throughout his tenure in different institutions, he has fulfilled various academic responsibilities alongside teaching. He has taught physics in Intermediate Sections (FSc, ICS) and BS programs, covering subjects such as Statistical Mechanics, Optics, Applied Physics, and Modern Physics Lab..
Community Services:
- Served as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) advisor and supervised over 70 projects for intermediate, BS, and MS level students.
- Worked as a Practical Examiner for BISE Lahore.
- Currently serving as a member of a blood donation society, among other roles.
Achievements:
- Received the Best Teacher awards in 2013, 2016, and 2017.
- Earned the Best Poster award at the 17th National Symposium on Frontiers in Physics held in December 2022 at GC University Lahore.
Research and publications:
His area of interest focuses on studying the dispersion properties of surface waves in a plasma environment. Currently, he is involved in several ongoing projects in this field. Here are his recent publications:
