Mental Well-being at the Workplace

The Department of English hosted a seminar for all College Faculty and Staff on “Mental Well-being at the Workplace.” Mr. Arman Ahmed the head of Campus Life and Wellness was invited as the resource person. In this role, he is responsible for curating a campus space that fosters students’ physical, emotional and mental well-being. He is also a practicing clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience working with a diverse range of individuals. Mr. Arman shared his valuable insights related to a wide array of socio-emotional problems that people may face in their personal and professional life.

It was an informative session with practical suggestions for the audience to maintain balance in life and to find some unwinding activity for themselves in their ‘me time.’

It was an interactive session and Mr. Arman entertained the audience with questions well.

At the end of the session the head of department, Ms. Eram George presented a token of thanks to the resource person and also paid her gratitude to the Vice Rector College Dr. Ivan Suneel, College Coordinator Dr. Lubna Amir and College Information Officer Mr. Rehan Sohail for consenting to and facilitating the seminar. She also appreciated the Faculty Development Committee especially the Convenor Ms Huma Hassan for their diligent efforts.
