Office of the Vice Rector (College) Holds Faculty Retreat 2021-2022

The Office of the Vice Rector (College) held faculty retreat 2021-22 from the 23rd of August to 25th of August, 2021. For the first time, the members of faculty who had demonstrated outstanding BISE results and won ‘best teacher’s’ awards were asked to present on the themes of ‘Self-care & Student-care’, Teaching Methodology, Classroom Management, Assessment and Feedback.

The theme of ‘Self-care & Student-care’ was presented by Dr. L. Amer (Coordinator, HoD Chemistry), Ms. Julia Austin (HoD Mathematics), Ms. E. George (HoD English) and Mr. M. Manzoor (Department of English). Teaching Methodology was covered by Dr. A. Samuel (HoD Urdu), Mr. M. Usman (HoD Biological Sciences), Dr. N. Javed (Department of Chemistry); the theme of Classroom Management was addressed by Dr. L. Amer (Coordinator & HoD Chemistry), Mr. M. Asghar (HoD Religious Education), Mr. M. Iqbal (Department of Mathematics) and Mr. N. Naveed (Department of Chemistry). The assessment was effectively presented by Dr. A. Samuels (HoD Urdu), Mr. M. Asghar (HoD Religious Education), Mr. J. Austin (HoD Mathematics), and Ms. E. George (HoD English); Feedback was presented by Dr. N. Javed (Department of Chemistry), Mr. M. Manzoor (Department of English) and Mr. S. Khursheed (Department of Physics).

One complete day was dedicated to the theme of ‘Character Building Classes’ and its curriculum which will be taught on weekly basis to the college students. The themes around which the Character Building curriculum has been put together were presented by Ms. N. Naphtali (College Counselor), Mr. M. U. Ch. (Deputy Chief Proctor), Ms. E. George (HoD English), Mr. M. Manzoor (Department of English) and Mr. Sohail (College Information Officer).

Honourable Vice Rector, Dr. Suneel Samuel reiterated the vision of the Office of the Vice Rector that unwavering support and facilitation will be provided to anyone who has an academic scholarship to share for the professional uplift.

An important hallmark of the retreat was the reflection sessions, group work, and interactive sharing.
