Urdu is the lingua franca of the subcontinent that has a great influence on this region. It is a known fact that Urdu is the national language of Pakistan that has a deep social, cultural and literary impact on every Pakistani and even beyond the borders. It is the right of every student to be provided with an atmosphere that sharpens his taste in Urdu language and literature. At FCCU, students are provided with a learning atmosphere that helps them to be more curious, critical and well-composed. Department of Urdu comprises twelve faculty members with PhD, MPhil and Master’s degree in the relevant field. All of them work with great dedication and commitment, not just focusing on the syllabus but also character building.
