FCCU also offers the following facilities to its employees

Mercy Health Center:
The Mercy Health Center provides emergency and first-aid facilities to FCC’s staff, students and faculty. It is an on-campus facility equipped for the routine medical needs of the on-campus residents, day scholars, faculty and staff and has an on-going relationship with the nearby United Christian Hospital for cases that require specialized attention. Sports:
FCCU has a 25-meter swimming pool for the use of its students, faculty and staff. Staff members along with their families can enjoy the swimming pool facility. We also have a well maintained gymnasium which can be utilized by all staff/faculty members.

Health & Life Insurance:
Forman Christian College provides health and live insurance covers to all its employees. The health coverage is extended to the spouse and children along with maternity benefits.

Free Education for Employees’ Children:
The children of staff and faculty members can study for free at FCCU.

Provident Fund:
All employees are eligible to become Members of the Provident Fund. The College contributes a sum equivalent to the contribution made by each member to the Provident Fund. Employees can withdraw their provident fund share and also take loan against their share of provident fund.

Leaves:
FCC offers multiple categories of leaves to its employees including annual leaves, casual leaves, sick/medical leaves, maternity leaves (for females), study leaves and sabbatical leaves.

Employee Training and Development:
FCCU provides multiple opportunities and funding to its staff for attending trainings, conferences and workshops (both national and international). In-house training sessions are also organized regularly for faculty and staff members. In addition to this, staff members are also provided with opportunities and funding to enhance their education. Training and development funding/opportunities are subject to the University policies.

FCC Daycare Center

FCC also offers a Daycare Center facility, funded by the Women Development Program Fund, for children of employees from 2 months to 3 years of age.

The Center provides caring and well-trained staff and hours of fun and educational activities in a child-oriented environment. The staff implement daily activities planned in the areas of:

  • Social development
  • Language and literacy
  • Creative representation
  • Music
  • Movement
  • Logic
  • Mathematics

Each room is equipped with age appropriate materials that stimulate the the interest of the children and natural desire to discover.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to visit whenever possible to take the opportunity to see  the established policies in action and reassure themselves that their child is happy in a safe and caring environment.

The FCC Daycare Center meets the guidelines given by the WDP fund as well as US standards for staff-child ratios, health requirements and safety standards.

Open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 05:00 pm.

 

Light of Hope School

The Light of Hope School l is an on campus facility designed to provide quality education to more than 180 under-privileged children whose parents are working as support staff at FCC and who live in the surrounding area. The school offers classes from Kindergarten to fifth grade and follows the Oxford curriculum.
