Department of Chemistry

Department of Chemistry is committed to providing a positive and supportive learning and working environment. Being equipped with state of the art laboratories, and having highly distinguished faculty, the department provides a creative and innovative atmosphere for faculty-mentored and student-centered learning. Students are expected to obtain a broad understanding of chemistry and learn to think critically and communicate effectively in oral and written forms.  The rigorous curriculum provides hands-on experiences with modern experimental and computer-based techniques and instrumentation, preparing students to enter undergraduate and professional programs.

The mission of the Chemistry Department is to provide intellectual and physical nexus of the basic/chemical sciences with a focus on curriculum, which serves as an advocate and conduit for the nexus of discovery, learning, and the dissemination of knowledge of Chemistry among other academic units of FCCU.
